Four satellites of the Russian Defense Ministry launched from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome on Wednesday by a Soyuz-2.1v rocket have reached designated orbits, the ministry’s information and mass communications department said in a statement.

“The light rocket Soyuz-2.1v, which took off from the Plesetsk State Testing Cosmodrome in the Arkhangelsk region at 8:14 p.m. Moscow time on July 10, successfully put satellites of the Russian Defense Ministry into designated orbits in due time,” the statement said.

The launch of the Soyuz-2.1v rocket and the satellites’ delivery to orbit by the Volga booster unit were accomplished normally, it said.

It was the second launch of a Soyuz-2 rocket from Plesetsk in 2019.
