United Nations organizations: The UAE’s humanitarian efforts have contributed to the normalization of life in Yemen

The United Nations, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNHCHR) praised the role of the UAE in providing humanitarian assistance and development programs. Which included various villages and areas of the West Coast in Yemen, which had a major role in the normalization of life.

The meeting was attended by representatives of United Nations organizations, Mohammed al-Junaibi, Director of Humanitarian Affairs of the UAE Red Crescent Society in Yemen, on the West Coast of Yemen, to discuss mechanisms of cooperation and partnership in humanitarian activities along the West Coast.

Al-Junaibi presented complete information on the nature of projects carried out by the UAE through the UAE Red Crescent Authority in the West Coast, including the rehabilitation and furnishing of 47 schools, 24 fish landing centers, 22 health centers, 31 projects in the solar water sector, Electricity and various community projects to develop capacity and encourage them to raise the level of income of Yemeni citizens in different cities and villages of the West Coast, and help them to improve their living conditions.

The Director of Humanitarian Affairs of the UAE Red Crescent said that the UAE continues its humanitarian, service and development efforts to serve the brotherly Yemeni people and alleviate their suffering.

The representatives of the United Nations organizations valued the ongoing efforts and activities of the UAE, including campaigns to combat cholera, malaria and other activities that have contributed to serving the Yemeni citizens along the West Coast.
