New York State of the United States today became the first state in the United States to ban the removal of claws for cats. The immigrants condemned the cat’s cruelty to the cats, and some countries have legislated.
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo today signed a bill banned for cats on the grounds of beauty, allowing the ban to take effect immediately, and was praised by cat lovers. The New York State Assembly passed the bill in June.
Agence France-Presse reported that Gumo said in the statement : “Besides claws is a cruel and painful process that causes physical and operational problems for helpless animals. However, it was banned today.”
Gumo added: “By banning this outdated behavior, we can ensure that animals are no longer harmed by these inhuman and unnecessary injuries.”
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, for the New York State to pass the bill, wrote: “Victory!”
In addition to the claw surgery, the bones in the cat’s claws are completely or partially removed. It is very common for cats to remove claws in the United States. The reason why the owner does this is to prevent the cat’s claws from scratching the furniture.
But the New York State bill believes that such an act can cause great pain and mental illness for cats, and arthritis will occur early.
Most European countries, including the United Kingdom and Switzerland, have expressly banned the removal of claws for cats.
According to the bill, some cities in California have banned claw-killing, but New York State is the first state-wide ban. However, the authorities still allow such operations to be performed on medical grounds.
