Earthquake size in northwestern Iran is 5.8

The United States Geological Survey (USGS) said that the magnitude 5.8 earthquake occurred in northwestern Iran today.

Reuters reported that the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre initially estimated an earthquake size of 6.0.

According to the US Geological Survey, the epicenter was about 83 kilometers southwest of Ardabil in the northwestern Iranian city, with a focal depth of 10 kilometers.

The earthquake occurred at 2:17 in the morning, and the Iranian News Agency (IRNA) reported that the earthquake was relatively powerful and scared many people to come out.
