The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has dispatched a new food aid convoy to the people of Brom Mayfa district in Yemen’s Hadramaut governorate, benefiting 4,500 low-income and needy families as part of its efforts to alleviate suffering and normalize the lives of families in difficult situations due to economic conditions. The UAE Red Crescent distributed 900 food baskets weighing “72 tons and 720 kg” to the areas of “Hasahasa, Intisheh, Al-Messini, Haro, and Dhaluma” in the Directorate in a series of campaigns carried out throughout Hadramout and reached several remote areas.
The beneficiaries expressed their thanks and appreciation to the UAE leadership, government and people for their fraternal stance in their ordeal and the continuous relief efforts for the people of Hadramout province.
It is noteworthy that the number of food baskets, which have been distributed since the beginning of the year of tolerance, amounted to 33 thousand and 644 food baskets with a rate of “2718 tons and 435.2 kg” targeted 168 thousand and 220 members of needy families in the province of Hadramout.
